Eid-el-Kabir: DanKwambo calls for peaceful politicking


DankwamboGOMBE State Governor, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo has called on politicians across the country to put the interest of the country above any other thing by conducting themselves peacefully ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Hassan Dankwambo made the appeal at the Government House in his Eid-el Kabir Sallah message shortly after observing the Eid prayers held at the Gombe Eid praying ground.
The Governor particularly called on politicians to conduct themselves well for the peace and development of Nigeria, Gombe State and their various communities by engaging and encouraging peaceful campaigns.
While commending the people of the State for the peaceful coexistence despite their different religious and ethnic backgrounds, the Governor called on them to continue to pray for the peace and development of the State and Nigeria as a whole.
Earlier during the Eid prayers at the Gombe Eid praying ground, the Chief Imam of Gombe, Sheikh Mohammed Pindiga, after leading the two raka’at prayers called on Muslims to adhere to the teachings of Islam especially as it regards animal sacrifice and sharing with the less privileged in the society.
In his Sallah goodwill message at his palace, the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, called on Muslims and the entire people of Gombe State to continue to support Government in its efforts at creating peace and development of the society.
At the end of the Eid prayers, a colourful Durbar was organized at the Palace of the Emir witnessed by the Governor Hassan Dankwambo and many dignitaries from within and outside Gombe State who had converged at the palace.
